OSHA requires that scaffolding be erected, moved, dismantled, and inspected under the supervision of a qualified competent person — and failing to have one on site is both a serious safety risk and a common source of costly citations. PS&M's Scaffold Competent Person Training prepares designated employees to fulfill this role, covering scaffold types and components, load capacities, inspection criteria, fall protection requirements, and the identification and correction of hazardous conditions.

This training is essential for contractors and employers whose crews work on or around scaffolding in construction, industrial, and maintenance environments. Successful completion demonstrates both field competency and a documented commitment to OSHA scaffold standards.
